Pacesetter of digitalization

Digitalization is being thought ahead in the Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion.

TRK is actively involved in the global changes brought about by the digital transformation. From renowned institutions such as the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), the FZI Research Center for Information Technology and universities to the Center for Art and Media (ZKM), digitalization is being shaped here in a pioneering way.

The regional IT sector, represented by companies such as CyberForum or the Bruchsal region's Digital Hub with HubWerk01, plays a key role as a driver of the fourth industrial revolution. In addition, the "Digital Future Municipalities" in the state of Baden-Württemberg, including the city and district of Karlsruhe, are actively involved in digital advance development. The Industry 4.0 Baden-Württemberg Alliance offers special support services for the integration of artificial intelligence into industrial production processes.

Digitization center "HubWerk01" in Bruchsal

As the first digitalization center in the Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion, HubWerk01 in Bruchsal acts as a place of open innovation where companies develop innovative products and business models together with start-ups and universities. HubWerk01 is housed in the former high-bay warehouse of the Siemens factory and offers a cross-industry development platform for companies of all sizes.

The center promotes the exchange of information and ideas as well as spaces for experimentation and also maintains a network of qualified experts to connect project teams with relevant specialists as soon as ideas are generated. The supporting organization is the Digital Hub Region Bruchsal e. V., in which companies, start-ups, creatives, networks and universities can actively participate as members. Further information can be found on the Hubwerk01 website.
