We are the Welcome Center of the Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion, which is funded by the Ministry of Economics, Labor and Tourism. We are happy to provide you with information and advice on the following topics, among others, and can put you in touch with other service facilities if required:

We are an interface with a guiding function. We are closely networked with service centers and companies within the TechnologyRegion.

This combination enables us to provide you with an individual, tailor-made initial consultation. We work with you to create your individual roadmap - so that you can quickly feel at home in our region! We are happy to advise you free of charge and in person at our Welcome Center, by phone, Skype or email.

Welcome Center Karlsruhe gestaltet Zukunftsfähigkeit der Region aktiv mit

Willkommenskultur als Standortfaktor – Förderung für weitere drei Jahre gesichert

Die TechnologieRegion Karlsruhe GmbH freut sich über eine Weiterförderung ihres Welcome Centers für die kommenden drei Jahre 2026 bis 2028 in Höhe von ca. 666.330 Euro.

Das Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Arbeit und Tourismus Baden-Württemberg fördert von 2026 bis 2028 elf regionale Welcome Center sowie das landesweit zuständige Welcome Center Sozialwirtschaft mit mehr als 7,5 Millionen Euro.

„Mit dem Landesprogramm investieren wir direkt in die Zukunftsfähigkeit unseres Wirtschaftsstandorts – in die Fachkräfte, die wir dringend brauchen“, sagte Wirtschafts- und Arbeitsministerin Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut. „Welcome Center sind heute zentrale Drehkreuze für die Gewinnung internationaler Fachkräfte. Sie stehen für echte Willkommenskultur und unterstützen Unternehmen wie Zugewanderte gleichermaßen“, ergänzte sie.

„Wir freuen uns sehr über die Weiterförderung und darüber, dass sich das Welcome Center TechnologieRegion Karlsruhe inzwischen als Kompetenzzentrum etablieren konnte. Mit individueller Beratung, intensiver Netzwerkarbeit und vielfältigen Veranstaltungen gestalten wir die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit und Innovationskraft der Region mit. Gemeinsam mit unseren Partnern tragen wir dazu bei, die Rahmenbedingungen für internationale Fachkräfte und Unternehmen weiterzuentwickeln und die wirtschaftliche Stärke der TechnologieRegion Karlsruhe zu fördern“, erklärt Petra Bender, Leiterin des Welcome Center TechnologieRegion Karlsruhe.

Als Lotse und Schnittstelle berät das Welcome Center sowohl internationale Fachkräfte, Studierende und Auszubildende als auch Unternehmen und Organisationen bei Fragen rund um Beruf, Aufenthalt und Integration. Dabei arbeitet es eng mit regionalen, nationalen und internationalen Partnern aus Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft und Verwaltung zusammen, um passgenaue Lösungen zu entwickeln und die Willkommenskultur in der Region aktiv zu stärken.

Insbesondere kleine und mittlere Unternehmen profitieren von einer verbindlichen Anlauf- und Informationsstelle, die sie bei der Gewinnung sowie der schnellen und erfolgreichen Integration internationaler Fachkräfte unterstützt – ein entscheidender Faktor für die nachhaltige Entwicklung und wirtschaftliche Zukunftsfähigkeit der gesamten Region.

Target groups of the Welcome Center TRK

The services offered by the Welcome Center TRK are aimed at the target groups:

Companies: In particular SMEs, scientific and research institutions with a need or interest in international skilled workers and/or trainees.
International skilled workers: From different professional groups and sectors as well as their family members. This applies to people who are interested in the Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion and are still living abroad, have recently arrived from abroad or have been living in the region for several years and are looking for a career change.
Cooperation partners: The Welcome Center works closely with many local, regional and international players such as advice centers, service facilities, authorities and associations. These partnerships help to ensure comprehensive support and a smooth integration environment for international professionals and their families.
