Cooperations

The Welcome Center of the Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion maintains the following cooperations:

  • To strengthen the welcoming culture in Karlsruhe, the Welcome Center TRK and the Badisches Staatstheater have been cooperating since 2021. Together, they organize events for newcomers to the region twice a year. During past theater visits, up to 50 international professionals got to know the Staatstheater as a valuable cultural institution in our region. The Welcome Center TRK supports the international ensemble of the Badisches Staatstheater in an advisory capacity.
  • Successful cooperation between the Welcome Center TRK and the DHBW Karlsruhe as part of the "Network Seminar": Due to the acute shortage of skilled workers, the aim is to increase awareness of the wide range of support services offered by the Welcome Center. A group of prospective industrial engineers specializing in marketing and international studies developed valuable recommendations for action during the seminar.
  • Delegation trip to Maharashtra, India: As part of a delegation trip in early 2023, the aim was to establish personal contacts in India with regard to labor migration. In line with the Indo-German Mobility and Migration Agreement, which Federal Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock signed in India at the beginning of December 2022, a delegation trip from the State Ministry of Baden-Württemberg, led by State Minister Dr. Florian Stegmann, took place in the state of Maharashtra. The main topics were possible cooperation in the field of "green hydrogen technologies" and "recruitment of skilled workers". The Welcome Center TRK , together with representatives of the city of Karlsruhe and the city of Baden-Baden, first visited Aurangabad and then joined the Baden-Württemberg delegation in Pune and Mumbai to discuss the key topic of "Indian skilled workers for Baden-Württemberg and the TechnologyRegion".
