The HR network: International specialists for the TRK
The HR network meets twice a year to offer HR managers and managing directors a space for exchange and knowledge transfer. During the network meetings, everything revolves around the question: How can companies find and retain international specialists?
The focus is particularly on the following points, among others:

Network of international experts in the TRK
The network has been meeting twice a year since July 2019 to bring together stakeholders in the field of social and professional integration of international skilled workers. The network currently consists of around 50 network partners, including immigration authorities, the Employment Agency, the Employer Service, integration offices, business development agencies, universities, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Chamber of Crafts, the DGB, the Karlsruhe International Meeting Center and many more.
The focus is particularly on topics such as:

Cooperations
The Welcome Center of the Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion maintains the following cooperations:
- New: The European School Karlsruhe (ESK) and the Welcome Center TechnologieRegion Karlsruhe (TRK) signed a cooperation agreement on Sunday, June 23, 2024. Daniel Gassner, Director of the European School Karlsruhe, and Jochen Ehlgötz, Managing Director of TechnologieRegion Karlsruhe GmbH,signed the
agreement, which aims to bring international families and skilled workers closer to the Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion and promote social and cultural integration.

- To strengthen the welcoming culture in Karlsruhe, the Welcome Center TRK and the Badisches Staatstheater have been cooperating since 2021. Together, they organize events for newcomers to the region twice a year. During past theater visits, up to 50 international professionals got to know the Staatstheater as a valuable cultural institution in our region. The Welcome Center TRK supports the international ensemble of the Badisches Staatstheater in an advisory capacity.
- Successful cooperation between the Welcome Center TRK and the DHBW Karlsruhe as part of the "Network Seminar": Due to the acute shortage of skilled workers, the aim is to increase awareness of the wide range of support services offered by the Welcome Center. A group of prospective industrial engineers specializing in marketing and international studies developed valuable recommendations for action during the seminar.
- Delegation trip to Maharashtra, India: As part of a delegation trip in early 2023, the aim was to establish personal contacts in India with regard to labor migration. In line with the Indo-German Mobility and Migration Agreement, which Federal Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock signed in India at the beginning of December 2022, a delegation trip from the State Ministry of Baden-Württemberg, led by State Minister Dr. Florian Stegmann, took place in the state of Maharashtra. The main topics were possible cooperation in the field of "green hydrogen technologies" and "recruitment of skilled workers". The Welcome Center TRK , together with representatives from the city of Karlsruhe and the city of Baden-Baden, first visited Aurangabad and then joined the Baden-Württemberg delegation in Pune and Mumbai to discuss the key topic of "Indian skilled workers for Baden-Württemberg and the TechnologyRegion". During a second delegation trip at the beginning of this year, led by Minister of State Dr. Florian Stegmann, talks on recruiting skilled workers were intensified in Mumbai and Pune.

Network partner AniKA - what you need to know
The alliance AniKA - Ankommen in Karlsruhe (Arriving in Karlsruhe ) consists of various stakeholders who are involved in integration policy in the city of Karlsruhe. The overarching goal of AniKA is the further development of the welcome structure in Karlsruhe and the establishment of the "Karlsruhe Integration Path". The alliance aims to involve all stakeholders in the city who are in contact with immigrants. The Welcome Center TRK is active in the alliance.
Regular alliance meetings, which take place every six months, serve to exchange information. Their purpose is to create a comprehensive overview of the needs and offers for people who are new to Karlsruhe.
Integreat
Integreat is a tried-and-tested digital integration platform at municipal level that provides comprehensive information to new immigrants in multiple languages. Whether professionals, migrants or refugees - Integreat goes beyond the theoretical concept and has been developed in cooperation with over 100 municipal partners.
This digital integration platform is tailor-made for cities, districts and federal states that want to overcome language barriers and promote the transparency of information. The focus is on all people with a migration background, regardless of the reasons (flight, labor migration, etc.) that brought them to a new country and culture. Integreat strives to support the integration process and serve as a basis for further activities and measures.
